Zagreb, June 11, 2024 - The award ceremony and exhibition opening were held at the Media Library of the French Institute as part of the "School Sport and Olympic Movement" project. The Croatian Olympic Academy, in collaboration with the Croatian School Sports Federation, has been organizing the School Sport and Olympic Movement competition for the thirteenth consecutive year.

This year's competition titled "French Artistic Styles" is conducted in partnership with the Embassy of the French Republic in the Republic of Croatia. Primary school students were tasked with creating a sports-themed artwork in the style of Fauvism, while secondary school students painted a sports-themed artwork in the style of Surrealism. A total of 661 submissions were received from 106 primary and secondary schools.

In the primary school category, 553 artworks were submitted from 82 schools, while in the secondary school category, 108 artworks were received from 24 schools.

The ceremony was attended by: H.E. Mr. Fabien Fieschi, Ambassador of the French Republic to the Republic of Croatia; Dr. Saša Ceraj, Director of the Croatian Olympic Academy; Dr. Ivan Dujić, Secretary General of the Croatian School Sports Federation; and Estelle Halimi-Dagron, Director of the French Institute, who addressed the audience with speeches, followed by the presentation of awards to the winning authors and schools.
