

Igor Boraska Elected Vice President of the World Olympians Association (WOA)
Fribourg, 5 March 2026 – After joining the Executive Committee of the World Olympians Association (WOA) a month and a half ago, celebrated Croatian rower and two-time Olympian (Summer and Winter) Igor Boraska has now also been elected Vice President, representing recognition not only for him personally but also for Croatian Olympism and sport as a whole. Rosa Rakotozafy of Madagascar was appointed to the same position.

Dina Levačić becomes the first person to swim 48 km around the British island of Saint Helena
Saint Helena, 27 February 2026 – Outstanding Croatian open water swimmer Dina Levačić has become the first person to successfully complete a 48-kilometre swim around the British island of Saint Helena in the Atlantic Ocean.

On 26 February 2026, the final Educational Module 3 of the Erasmus+ project GUARD – Safeguarding Children in Sport was successfully delivered in Zagreb, marking the completion of the national pilot education cycle for the first generation of Child Safeguarding Officers (CSOs).
