

PORTAL Project Partners Meet in Bucharest to Advance Platform Development and Piloting Activities
The third transnational meeting of the Erasmus+ Sport project PORTAL was held on 9 June 2026 in Bucharest, Romania, bringing together project partners to review progress, validate key project outputs, and coordinate the next phase of implementation. Representatives of the Croatian Olympic Committee participated alongside partners from Romania, Spain, France, Italy, and North Macedonia.

The GUARD project continues to advance its mission of creating safer, more supportive, and child-centred sport environments across Europe. Coordinated by the Croatian Olympic Committee together with partner National Olympic Committees and institutions, the project focuses on strengthening safeguarding systems and empowering sport organisations through education, operational guidance, and international cooperation.

Resigning President Appoints Vice President Sanda Čorak as Acting President During Transition Period
Zagreb, 22 May 2026 – The resigning President of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO), Zlatko Mateša, has appointed HOO Vice President Sanda Čorak as Acting President during the transition period. During this time, the head of the Croatian Judo Federation is expected to lead the process of convening an extraordinary assembly and electing new leadership.
