The main topic was the change of attitude towards the marketing rights of National Olympic Committees and improvement of cooperation with the TOP partners of the International Olympic Committee. The participants of the seminary, all of them marketing directors of National Olympic Committee, expressed their support in search of a new approach to the international marketing cooperation that would promote the financial well-being of all the National Olympic Committees. The discussion was led also on the use of trademarks, insignias and brands for the next Olympic cycle that refers to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) in 2016 and in Pyeongchang (South Korea) in 2018, as well as on the impact of the expenses of space needed for organization of national houses at the Olympics. Assistant of the COC's Secretary General for marketing Mr. Ranko Cetkovic talked about the Croatian experience and impact of membership of Croatian Olympic Marketing Family in this field. The rare example of cooperation between the IOC, P&G and COC, the campaign "Thank you mom", which could become the backbone of similar, on common initiative based projects, was particularly well received.
There were also the proposals on the promotion of Olympic values through teaching materials and aids. However, the working group will prepare the final form and content of the conclusions entitled "Return to the Olympic values " for the meeting in Bratislava in December this year. The seminary was held in the co-organization of the Croatian Olympic Committee,Olympic Solidarity and the IOC's company Television and Marketing Services, founded by the IOC with the goal to run the marketing program and the sale of television rights for the Olympic Games. The seminary, paid in full with the funds of Olympic Solidarity and the IOC's Television and Marketing Service, was attended by the representatives of National Olympic Committees of Moldova, Turkey, Serbia, Slovenia, Czech Republic,Slovakia, Macedonia, Albania, Montenegro, Poland, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatian, as well as by the representatives of the IOC's TMS led by the director of the commercial department Mrs. Elisabeth Allaman.
