The two-day meeting focused on reviewing progress achieved so far and coordinating the next implementation phases of the project, which aims to promote gender equality in sport and support dual career pathways for young female athletes across Europe.

A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to Work Package 2, which covers the development of the educational programme and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). Partners reviewed the completed research phase and national reports, confirming their quality and relevance. Discussions focused on finalising the structure and learning outcomes of the six educational modules, ensuring consistency across partner contributions, and aligning the programme with agreed quality standards. Clear deadlines were confirmed for the completion, external review, and translation of the educational content.

Work Package 3, focusing on the development of the online platform, was another key topic. The consortium agreed on the use of a Moodle-based platform that will host the MOOCs, mentoring activities, and community features. Partners discussed technical characteristics such as accessibility, learning paths, assessment tools, data protection, and sustainability. Special attention was given to creating an inclusive and user-friendly digital environment tailored to the needs of young female athletes.

The meeting also included a co-creation session, during which partners collaboratively refined the proposed structure of the MOOCs. This session helped clarify content formats, learning units, and interactive elements, ensuring that the educational materials will be engaging, practical, and aligned with the project’s objectives.

On the second day, partners reviewed project management and quality assurance processes. Results of the first quality evaluation confirmed that the project is progressing efficiently, with strong collaboration and effective communication among partners. The consortium also agreed on upcoming milestones, future meetings, and timelines for continued implementation.

Dissemination activities were discussed in detail, with partners reaffirming their commitment to increasing the project’s visibility through coordinated social media activities, events, and promotional materials. Plans for upcoming videos, conferences, and outreach actions were aligned to ensure consistent communication at European level.

The meeting concluded with a summary of key decisions and next steps, reinforcing the shared commitment to delivering high-quality results. Through continued cooperation, the GENDERWISE project is advancing toward the creation of a sustainable framework that supports gender equality and dual career development for young female athletes across Europe.
