SAFE HARBOUR is a European-wide initiative co-financed by the European Commission through the Erasmus+ Programme 2024 and coordinated by the EOC EU Office. The project brings together 27 organisations, including National Olympic Committees, International Federations, and leading research institutions, with the goal of developing concrete frameworks, tools, and national strategies to ensure a safer sporting environment for athletes across Europe.

In addition to Erasmus+ funding, the project is supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), which provides expertise and contributes to dissemination and legacy-building activities.

At the same time, NOC Croatia has just been awarded funding by Olympic Solidarity, providing extremely valuable support that will strengthen its involvement in the project and ensure meaningful impact both nationally and at the European level.

By engaging in SAFE HARBOUR and securing additional Olympic Solidarity support, NOC Croatia reaffirms its strong commitment to safeguarding in sport and underlines its dedication to protecting athletes while promoting a culture of safety, integrity, and good governance.
