Croatian representatives also participated in the MOMI assembly - Secretary General of the Croatian Olympic Committee Siniša Krajač, Director of the Olympic Program Office Damir Šegota and Head of International Cooperation Ljiljana Ujlaki Šubić, who is also a member of the Executive Board of MOMI in the second term. The sessions of the MOMI commissions were attended by the Croatian Olympic Committee's Coordinator for Status Issues of Athletes Matea Horvat (Ethics and Legal Commission) and the Secretary General of the Croatian Association of Long-Distance Swimming Karla Šitić (Athletes Commission).
The Assembly awarded numerous worthy persons of the Mediterranean movement, and longtime President Amar Addadi was awarded the status of honorary president for life. He headed MOMI from 2003 to 2021.
Through a video link, representatives of the Greek Heraklion presented the hosting of the Mediterranean Beach Games in 2023, and at the time of the Games, the next session of the General Assembly of the MOMI will be held (1 September). The Mediterranean Beach Games in Heraklion will feature 1,500 athletes from 26 countries, in 14 sports, four of which are premiered in the Games program.
The Taranto assembly also opened the possibility of hosting cities running for MI 2030 and the Mediterranean Beach Games in 2027. (NOC of Croatia/VK)
