HOO congratulated the female ninepin bowling players on winning the World Champions title in Czech Republic

Zagreb, May 27, 2019 -Croatian female bowling ninepin bowling players won the World Champions title by defeating the Hungarian National Pin Bowling Team in Sunday’s match in the Czech city of Rokycany with 5-3 (in pins 3759-3665), while Ines Maričić set a new World record with 687 pins. In the first round, Marijana Liović defeated Boglarka Hari, Ana Bačan Schneider was better than Andrea Toth, while Mirna Bosak was outscored by Gyöngyi Csongradi. In the second round, Ines Maričić was great and with 687 pins improved the World Record, which was previously also held by her (678 pins) at the World Championships in German city of Dettenheim in 2017.

Her rival, Petra Simon, could not outscore her. Milana Pavlić was defeated in a duel against the World Vice Champion Anita Mehesz. Ana Jambrovic, Nataša Ravnić and Klara Sedlar lost all four sets against Anita Safrany and Katalin Toth, but that could not change the finals outcome and stop the Croatian female ninepin bowling player on their path to the gold medal. The Croatian male pin bowling players did not manage to win a medal, being defeated by the Hungarian team in the fight for bronze. After 23 years, the Croatian National Team had the opportunity to win a world medal again, but the Hungarians were better and celebrated with 6-2 (in pins 3900-3754).
