Her rival, Petra Simon, could not outscore her. Milana Pavlić was defeated in a duel against the World Vice Champion Anita Mehesz. Ana Jambrovic, Nataša Ravnić and Klara Sedlar lost all four sets against Anita Safrany and Katalin Toth, but that could not change the finals outcome and stop the Croatian female ninepin bowling player on their path to the gold medal. The Croatian male pin bowling players did not manage to win a medal, being defeated by the Hungarian team in the fight for bronze. After 23 years, the Croatian National Team had the opportunity to win a world medal again, but the Hungarians were better and celebrated with 6-2 (in pins 3900-3754).
Croatian National Olympic Committee (HOO) congratulates to the female ninepin bowling players on winning the World Champions title and Ines Maričić on improving her own World Record! (cna/cnoc/vk)
