In true Olympic spirit, everyone from children and recreational athletes to top runners, professional athletes and Olympians participated in the race. There have also been several "spontaneous gatherings" of running enthusiasts, such as those in Cernik or in Jarun. The organizers of the race 4th Olympic Day Run Croatia - Director of the Croatian Olympic Academy Saša Ceraj, Head of the Committee for Promotion of Olympism of the Croatian Olympic Academy Ana Popovčić and Head of Financial and Organizational Affairs of the Croatian Olympic Academy Karla Milinović, Boro Stipić (technical support of the race for the Croatian Athletics Federation) and Tajana Obradović - were joined at Jarun by the tireless Mario Mlinarić with a group of MM Training exercisers.
Two Croatian Olympians also ran the race - marathon runner Marija Vrajić and three-time Olympian cross-country skiing champion Vedrana Malec (12th overall). The (successful) defender of the last year’s champion title Tea Faber and third-place finisher Helena Gleđa, Ante Živkovic, runners of athletics clubs AK Maksimir and FIT, as well as Professor at the Faculty and Kinesiology and runner Cvita Gregov and Professor Nikša Sviličić.
In men's competition, Neven Čorko from Bedekovčina won the race, ahead of Ivan Bulić from Zagreb, and in women's - Tea Faber from Zaprešić defended the title of the winner, ahead of Dubravka Mesec from Našice.
