Janica Kostelić won her fourth gold Olympic medal in the women's combined, remaining undefeated in that event for four consecutive years. Janica also won the silver medal in the super giant slalom, rounding off her impressive Olympic career with six medals – four gold and two silver – thus becoming the most successful woman alpine skier in the history of the Olympic Winter Games.
These medals made her the most prolific medallist among Croatian athletes and one of the best athletes in the history of the Olympic Winter Games.
