Podgorica/Zagreb, 21 January 2021 – The NOC of Montenegro (COK) sent 3,000 EUR as financial assistance in eliminating the consequences of the devastating earthquake in Sisak-Moslavina County in the Republic of Croatia.
In conversation with his Croatian colleagues, the COK President Dušan Simonović said that he regretted the consequences caused by this natural disaster and that he hoped Croatia would recover as soon as possible and would emerge from this accident stronger and more complex.
- The funds were paid to a special account called Friends in Action, opened by the Sisak-Moslavina Association of Sports communities and federations in cooperation with the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) – announced the NOC of Montenegro.
It was also stated that the funds will be used to help athletes, sports staff and their families to reestablish the normal living conditions, as well as to get the demolished and damaged sports facilities back in operation. (Montenegro Independent News Agency/NOC of Croatia)
