Zagreb, November 21, 2019 -At last week's Electoral Assembly of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) - held in Turin (Italy) - the candidate of the Croatian Academic Sports Federation (HASS) Marko Žunić was elected a member of the FISU’s Executive Committee. FISU’s Executive Committee is composed of 15 members from all over the world, namely - from countries from five continents. At the Assembly the leaders of FISU were elected as well - the new President is Oleg Matytsin from Russia, and the first Vice President is Swiss Leonz Eder.

We recall, Marko Žunić was elected to FISU's CIC (International Control Committee) as Secretary General of the European University Games Zagreb-Rijeka 2016 for the period from 2016 to 2019, followed by new acknowledgement  - membership in FISU’s Executive Committee, where he will be able to contribute to the further global development and positioning of Croatian student sport.
