President of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) Zlatko Mateša and President of the Governing Council of the Hospital Sv. Katarina and former minister of education and sports Dragan Primorac signed the sponsorship agreement on co-operation on June 14, 2016 in Zabok. By signing the contract, the hospital for orthopedics, surgery, internal medicine, neurology and physical medicine and rehabilitation headquartered in Zabok became the health partner of the Croatian Olympic Committee and Croatian Olympians.

Special hospital Sv. Katarina, holder of the European certificate of excellence "The Leading Hospitals of the World", will carry out medical examinations and provide the necessary diagnostics, inpatient and outpatient treatments for athletes, evident and potential, beneficiaries of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s Olympic program. 

The signing ceremony was attended by Olympian and Assistant Minister for Sports Janica Kostelić, one of many female and male athletes - ambassadors of this reputable health institution and Manager of the Hospital Igor Borić, PhD and specialist in radiology. On this occasion, Mr. Borić said: "I am very proud that Sv. Katarina became the Croatian Olympic Committee’s health partner, because this hospital can offer the athletes excellent services, everything an athlete needs in one place, and - when an athlete requires - a timely, accurate diagnosis, good treatment and excellent rehabilitation."

In addition to numerous journalists, the press conference in Zabok was attended by the President of the Croatian Olympians Club Zoran Primorac, Olympians Franjo Arapović, Dubravko Šimenc, Damir Škaro, Ana Šimić and Željko Mavrović, Vedran Golec (until recently candidate for the Olympic Games Rio) and basketball coach Veljko Mršić.
