EU Sport
With professional knowledge and dedicated work, we represent the interests of the entire Croatian sport in the European Union. We advocate greater investments in sport, preservation of the European model of sport, and synergy of the sport sector and other sectors. We cooperate with organisations, institutions and experts from different sectors in order to achieve more efficiently the social and economic goals that are common to us.

Zagreb, 8 December 2020 - Elementary school Petar Preradović from Zagreb announced that it was presented the award for the best European sports education project in the EuropeanCommission's 2020 #BeActive Awards. The Project Walking Around the Earth, conceived by the Professor Juraj Horžić, won the first prize in the Education category, having previously entered among the three finalists on the continental level.

Zagreb, 4 December 2020 - Organized by the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds as managing body of the Operational Program Competitiveness and Cohesion, the 14th session of the Operational Program Monitoring Committee was held via video link on Friday, attended by the Croatian Olympic Committee’s European Union Programs; Funds and EU Program Coordinator Alma Papić, also a member of the mentioned Committee.

Zagreb, 30 November 2020 - The Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK) and the Croatian Olympic Committee (COC) jointly organized the Conference on Investments in Sports with a presentation of the results of sports satellite account of sport and study on investments in sports. The conference with around twenty present speakers and guests was held, respecting all the prescribed epidemiological measures, at the headquarters of the Croatian Chamber of Economy in Zagreb.

EPOSM: More than 5000 completed questionnaires
On November 6, 2020, the EPOSM project (“Evidence-based Prevention Of Sporting-related Match-fixing”) successfully ended its data collection. During a period of approximately six months, an online questionnaire on match-fixing has been conducted in seven European countries (i.e., Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and United Kingdom). -
In the three-day celebration of Erasmus Day, the Croatian Olympic Committee presents five projects
Zagreb, 14 October 2020 - In the next three days (15, 16 and 17 October), we are celebrating Erasmus Days, the program in which the Croatian Olympic Committee (COC) has been participating for years as project holder or partner. It is a special annual celebration of the Erasmus+ program, the largest program of the European Union intended for education, training, youth and sports. The Croatian Olympic Committee is currently involved in seven projects, in two of them as project holder. -
Position paper of the European sport associations on supporting the sport sector in the Old Continent signed today
Zagreb, April 15, 2020 - More than 30 sport and sport-related associations, including a number of associations on a national level, have agreed on a common position paper entitled „Position paper on the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on the sport sector”. -
Seminary of the European project for women in sport was held in Vienna
Vienna, 31 January 2019 - The European Commission and the Council of Europe organized a seminary under the project entitled " ALL IN: Towards gender balance in sport", held from 28 to 30 January 2019 in Vienna. The representatives of Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Israel, Portugal and Spain participated in the three-day seminary. The Croatian NOC was represented by the European Union Programs; Funds and EU Program Coordinator Alma Papić, who will conduct a survey in Croatia on the representation of women in Olympic sports. -
Invitation to the conference “Good Governance and Gender Equality in Sport”
Zagreb, November 14, 2018 - The Croatian Olympic Committee invites the stakeholders from the field of science, education and sport to the conference about the development and implementation of the educational programme for youth who participate in sport or attend the educational programme for a sport-related profession. The conference is open to practitioners (sport coaches, PE teachers, others involved in formal or informal education in sport) and theoreticians (university professors, scientists, researchers), as well as the representatives of the European- and national-level sport organisations and sport clubs including volunteers. Students are also welcome. -
Prague Conference reaffirmed the Olympic Festival as an important tool in the promotion of Olympism
Prague, October 26, 2018 - Olympic Festival is the tool of the future and recognized as such by the International Olympic Committee - could be heard in Prague at the recently completed conference of project participants, male and female representatives of seven National Olympic Committees (Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, France , Belgium, the Netherlands and Finland and the region of South Bohemia). -
Noted performance of the members of Croatian Olympic Committee’s Gender Equality in Sport Commission at the conference in Zagreb
Zagreb, October 25, 2018 - „Addressing inequality in sports: women’s status in leadership positions and prevention of violence against women" - was the subject of an international conference, held on October 25th at Zagreb's hotel Dubrovnik. An exceptionally well-attended conference was organized as part of the joint project of the Council of Europe and the European Commission "ALL IN: Towards gender balance in Sport", as part of the Croatian presiding of Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. -
Against match fixing and illegal betting
Zagreb, October 24th, 2013 - In co-organization of the Croatian Lottery and French Institute for International and Strategic Relations (IRIS), supported by the European Commission and European Lottery, in headquarters of the host, the Croatian Olympic Committee, on October 29th an international seminary on the battle against match fixing and illegal betting was held. -
Project Start: Sport 4 Good Governance
As of February 1 the EOC EU Office implements together with its project partners a series of activities in the framework of the project "Sport 4 Good Governance" which aims at promoting and providing a platform for good governance in sport.
