Zagreb, 22 November 2020 - Croatian tennis players Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić achieved two extremely valuable successes in the week behind us. After pairing with Dutchman Wesley Koolhof in the ATP Finals in London, Mektić became the first Croat to win the Nitto ATP Finals i.e. the season-ending championships of the ATP Tour (tournament of the season's best eight pairs). He rounded-up his year-long cooperation with the Dutchman with his first triumph in this year’s third appearance in the finals.  It was Mektić's 16th finals in the career and eighth won title of the winner.

Zagreb, 11 September 2020 – One of the best Croatian tennis players in doubles Mate Pavić won with his partner Bruno Soares from Brazil the US Open Men’s Doubles tournament. In the "Croatian" finals, Pavić and Soares defeated Nikola Mektić and Dutchman Wesley Koolhof with 2-0 in sets (7-5, 6-3).

Zagreb, January 27, 2020 - One of the greatest Croatian athletes of all time, Goran Ivanišević, is a new member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame in the American city of Newport. He became the first Croat in this respectable community, and received this recognition for a fantastic career that culminated in winning the Wimbledon title in 2001. In the most recent selection, Ivanišević earned his spot among the notables and became inductee alongside Spain's Conchita Martinez, and this new duo from the Hall of Fame was featured in Rod Laver Arena, the main venue of the Australian Open in Melbourne, entering its second week.
