Cairo, Zagreb, 4 March 2021 - After Anton Glasnović won gold in the individual competition two days ago, the Croatian National Team in Trap, composed of Anton and Josip Glasnović and Giovanni Cernogoraz, won the team gold medal at the World Cup in Cairo (Egypt).

After scoring the best result in the qualifying round with 493 targets, ahead of the Russians (483), Egyptians (479) and Slovenians (476), the brothers Glasnović and Cernogoraz demonstrated great form in their final match with Russian trio, Alipov, Kabatskiy and Mamkin.

In the team duel for bronze, the Egyptians and Slovenes were tied (5-5) after five series, but in the following shoot-off the Egyptians were more successful.

The next stop of the World Cup is New Delhi (18 to 29 March), where all shooting disciplines are scheduled, but Croatia will be represented only by the Air Rifle and Shotgun shooters: Snježana Pejčić, Petar Gorša and Miran Maričić.

The Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) congratulates our brilliant shooters on winning the individual and team gold in Trap at the World Cup in Cairo!
