Zagreb, March 1st, 2020 –Regarding the Croatian athletes at the international stage, the weekend of the February-March transition was marked by our proverbially successful shooters. The national shooting male team in 10M Air Rifle - Miran Maričić, Petar Gorša and Borna Petanjek - won a silver medal at the European Shooting Championships 10Mheld in Wroclaw (Poland).In the second qualification round,  the Croatian threesome achieved the second best result (626.4 hits), which also brought our team a fight for gold medal with the best representation of the second part of the competition - Russia (628.6 hits). The Russians (Sergei Kamensky, Alexander Dryagin and Vladimir Maslenikov) confirmed that primacy in the finals by winning 16-8. Team bronze went to the French ... Miran Maričić and Esthera Herceg also won bronze in mixed doubles for Croatia.

 

The leading Croatian Olympic Committee (COC) officials - President Zlatko Mateša and Secretary General Josip Čop - congratulated our shooters on a new great achievement in European competition.
