Zagreb, January 6, 2021 – Even though this year was their first ever without the support of local fans, the Croatian skiers achieved a historic success for the World Cup in the slalom race on Sljeme. On Red Descent, four of our representatives made the second run and registered points.
Filip Zubčić won the fifth place, this being the peak of his career in this discipline, while our two remaining skiers finished by entering the Top 15 - Matej Vidović took the 12th and Samuel Kolega the 15th place. Istok Rodeš finished in the 23rd place but won points in the World Cup,a for the first time after a year.
The sensational winner of the slalom on Sljeme is Germany's Linus Strasser, while Austria's Manuel Feller and Marco Schwarz took the second and the third place.
