Zagreb, 10 June 2021 – The Croatian skier Zrinka Ljutić won third place in the selection of the 6th winter edition of the Piotr Nurowski Prize, presented to young male and female athletes of the Old Continent by the European Olympic Committees (EOCs). Biathlete Lena Repinc of Slovenia was awarded the first prize at a gala dinner in Athens during the 50th General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees (EOCs). She was born in Jesenice, Slovenia, in 2003 and started training biathlon at the age of 11, while also training the cross-country skiing.

Rome, 7 May 2021 - From the headquarters of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) the good news came to Rome. Croatian ski sensation Zrinka Ljutić, 17, was included among five finalists of the Piotr Nurowski Prize, awarded for the sixth time to the Best Winter Young European Athlete.

Zagreb, February 27, 2021 – The best Croatian skier Filip Zubčić is the winner of the first of two World Cup Giant Slalom races, which are being run in Bulgaria's Bansko this weekend. He entered the finish line with a time of 2:20.62, the second-placed was France's Mathieu Faivre, while third place went to Austria's Stefan Brennsteiner for the first winning pedestal in his career.
