Montpellier, 14 March 2021 - Croatian National Male Handball Team failed to secure appearance at this summer’s Tokyo Olympics, that represents its first such setback since the qualifying tournament for the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics. At the qualifying tournament in France's Montpellier, Hrvoje Horvat's selectees scored two wins out of three performances - over Portugal 25-24 and Tunisia 30-27, with a starting loss to France (26-30).

Zagreb, 20 December 2020 - By winning bronze at the European Women’s Handball Championship in Denmark (25-19 victory over the Danish National Team), the Croatian female handball players achieved the greatest success in the history of our women's handball.

Zagreb, January 26, 2020 - Croatian National Handball Team won a silver medal at the EHF European Men’s Championships in Austria, Norway and Sweden. In a pretty even and tense final duel, played in Stockholm, Červar's favorites were defeated by the Spanish team 22-20 (12-11). This is the third silver medal of Croatian handball players at the European Championships after 2008 and 2010, and so far they have won three European bronzes – in 1994, 2012 and 2016.
