Zagreb, 12 June 2021 – The Croatian National Football Team will open its performance at the European Championships with Sunday's match against England (3 p.m.) at the new Wembley Stadium building in London. After that, they will fight against Czech Republic and Scotland. As in case of postponement of the Tokyo Olympics, the current football Euro - dispersed by hosting in 11 countries - was originally scheduled to take place in the summer of 2020.

The Croatian fans around the world are looking forward to the premiere performance of their favorites at a major competition. 14 years ago, the Blazers achieved one of the most magnificent victories of all time, defeating the "Gordi Albion" with 3-2 in Wembley’s old football temple building and – in terms of the recent history - everybody still remembers the semi-finals’ triumph of Dalić's selectees over the English at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, with which they paved the way towards the World Vice Champions title.

It has already become a tradition for Croatian Olympians to wish the Blazers a successful performance at a major competition. On behalf of all fifty evident Olympians for Tokyo, messages of support for the Blazers were sent by the celebrated Olympians in Shooting and Rowing - Snježana Pejčić and Damir Martin:

Good luck Blazers! The Olympians are with you!
