Zagreb, 25 May 2020 - One of the greatest Croatian athletes of all time - Krešimir Ćosić - left us too early, on this day exactly a quarter of a century ago. Although Zagreb native by birth (1948), his basketball career began in Zadar, where he grew up and established himself as a player in the late 1960's.

Zagreb, May 13, 2020 - Instead of the postponed competition in June this year, Croatian basketball players will host Olympic qualifications in Split from 29 June to 4 July 2021. This is the epilogue of adjusting the competition calendar between the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and qualifying tournaments will be held at the same time in Belgrade (Serbia), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Victoria (Canada) as well.

Croatian basketball players-hosts of Olympic-qualification tournament in Split
Mies, November 15, 2019 - Croatian basketball players will have the opportunity to win the Olympic 'visa' for Tokyo 2020 at a domestic tournament that will be held at Split’s Paladium Arena from November 23 to 28 next year. This decision - made by the International Basketball Federation's (FIBA) Executive board – granted Croatia’s candidacy for hosting one of four pre-Olympic qualification tournaments. Let us recall, our basketball players won their last two Olympic performances at the tournaments that took place right before the Olympics – for Beijing Olympics 2008 they won at the tournament in Greece and for Rio Olympics 2016 they took victory at the tournament in Italy. -
Croatian basketball players in 3x3 version to go to Olympic qualifications in India in March 2020
Zagreb, November 1, 2019 - According to information from the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the Croatian basketball will have the opportunity to perform at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 3x3 version. Due to the player's ranking , Croatia is among 20 teams that will fight in March 2020 India for one of three places that will ensure performance at Tokyo Olympics from 25 to 29 July next year. According to the casted lots of qualifying groups, the Croatian 3x3 basketball team is in the tournament group D with Netherlands, Latvia, Canada and India. -
Historical silver of our basketball, U20 representation the second at the European Championships
Chemnitz, July 22, 2018 - The Croatian National Basketball Team U20 won a silver medal at the European Championships in the German city of Chemnitz after being defeated by Israel in the finals (66-80).
