Croatian Basketball Federation was founded on December 19, 1948 in Zagreb.
Member of the International Basketball Federation – FIBA since January 19, 1992.
The Federation’s representatives in FIBA are Željko Drakšić, Boris Lalić and Ružica Marušić.

Zagreb, 16 May 2021 - One of the best Croatian basketball players of all time, Toni Kukoč, will be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, USA, in September this year as the fifth Croatian in the company of basketball immortals. He will enter it from the eighth attempt, after being nominated by the Chicago Bulls back in 2014. Before him, the Croatian basketball notables inducted into the Hall of Fame were: Krešimir Ćosić in 1996, Dražen Petrović in 2002, Mirko Novosel in 2007 and Dino Rađa in 2018.

Zagreb, 29 November 2020 - With an 87-72 victory over Sweden and previous over Turkey with 79-62, the Croatian National Basketball Team secured its place at the qualifying European Championships in Istanbul in 2022.

Zagreb, 25 May 2020 - One of the greatest Croatian athletes of all time - Krešimir Ćosić - left us too early, on this day exactly a quarter of a century ago. Although Zagreb native by birth (1948), his basketball career began in Zadar, where he grew up and established himself as a player in the late 1960's.
