Poznań, 6 June 2021 – Member of the Croatian National Kayaking Team and evident Tokyo candidate Anamaria Govorčinović won a silver medal in Saturday's single-seater kayak race (K-1 1000 m) at the European Kayak and Canoe Championships on calm waters in Poznań, Poland.

 In the final race, Govorčinović reached the finish in the time of 4:18.568 minutes, or 2.6 seconds after the golden Hungarian Alida Gazsó, and 1.3 seconds faster than bronze Slovak Mariana Petrušová.

On Sunday, the last day of the European Championships in Poznań, Anamaria Govorčinović finished 9th in the finals of the discipline K-1 500 m (kayak single-seater) for seniors, while the other evident Tokyo candidate Vanesa Tot finished 6th in the discipline C-1 200 m (closed single canoe) for seniors.

Kayaker Antun Novaković did not finish the K-1 5000 m, while Vanesa Tot dropped out of the C-1 5000m.
