Zagreb, 23 May 2021 - After the Olympic qualifications in kayaking and canoeing on the calm waters, the competition program in Barnaul, Russia, continued with the races of the 2nd World Cup Regatta, which two Croatian trustees for Tokyo - canoeist Vanesa Tot and kayaker Anamaria Govorčinović - marked by climbing to the winning pedestal.

Vanesa Tot confirmed her great form by winning the gold medal in the final C1 SENIOR 500m, while the kayaker Anamaria Govorčinović won a bronze medal in the finals of K1 SENIOR 500m. Tot was the fastest in the canoe sprint (2:15.330), ahead of Czech Rakova (2:16.628) and Uzbekistan's Fayzieva (2:19.441), while Govorčinović was very competitive to the top-ranked Portugal's Vascencelos (1:56.183) and second-placed South African Van Tonder (1:56.218) in canoe sprint.
After an excellent start of the season, our female and male kayakers on calm waters are looking forward to compete at the European Senior Championships from 3 to 6 June in Poznan (Poland), and Vanesa Tot to compete at the European championships for younger seniors, from 24 to 27 June, also in Poznan.
