Melbourne / Zagreb, February 16th, 2020 - Current Olympic Vice Champion Tonči Stipanović won a bronze medal at the Olympic class Laser World Championships in Melbourne (Australia), confirming his excellent form a bit overfive months ahead of the Tokyo Olympics, where he will be defending the historical individual silver of Croatian sailing from Rio de Janeiro.

Aarhus, August 11, 2018 - Sailing brothers Šime and Mihovil Fantela became the Croatian sports sensation of the day by winning a gold medal in 49er at the World Championships in the Danish city of Aarhus.
According to the announcements, as a leading crew they performed the race for medals in a routine way, tactically almost perfect... Šime and Mihovil collected a total of 72 points and in the final race they entered finish the fifth, and by then the main followers - the Germans, were at the rear of the fleet, enabling the French Frei and Delpech to seize the chance and take a silver medal (91 points). As a comfort to the Germans, Fischer and Graf won a bronze medal (93 points), but Heil and Plössel ended medalless.

Aarhus, August 9, 2018 - At the World Championships in the Danish city of Aarhus, the Croatian sailing achieved the first standard for the Tokyo Olympics 2020. By taking the 20th place in Laser class, silver Olympian from Rio Tonči Stipanović reached the standard. Even though the Laser sailors struggled for the distribution of 14 standards, for Tonči the 20th place was enough.
