Zagreb, October 13, 2019 - Croatian gymnast Tin Srbić won a silver medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Stuttgart (Germany), becoming our first gymnast with two medals from World Championships. Let us remind you, two years ago at the WC in Montreal (Canada) he was a sensational World Champion, and last year he also performed in the finals of the World Championships. After Stuttgart, the World Champion can focus on the most important goal of his career - performance at the Tokyo Olympics, for which he has provided himself a ' visa ' exactly at this World Championships.

Even though he had to perform – due to the left wrist injury - with a lower initial rating and give up some of the planned elements, Tin Srbić reached 14,666 points with an excellent performance, which later proved to be enough for a silver medal. Brazilian Arthur Mariano became the World Champion  with 14,900 points, while the bronze medal went to Artur Dalalojan (14,533).

The President and Secretary General of the Croatian Olympic Committee (COC) - Zlatko Mateša and Josip Čop - congratulated Tina Srbić on great success at the World Championships in Stuttgart:

Dear Tin,

By winning a silver medal in Horizontal Bar in the strongest competition, you have confirmed your place in the world's gymnastics elite. With the status of the evident Olympic candidate for Tokyo Olympics you have achieved a prerequisite for a new beautiful story of Croatian sports. On behalf of the entire Croatian Olympic Family, we congratulate you on your double venture, with the wish to enrich your trophy collection with Olympic medals next year! (COC/VK)
