Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010
The XXI Olympic Winter Games held in Vancouver from 12 to 28 february 2010 included 2.566 atheletes coming from 28 countries.They competed in 86 events in 15 sports. 10,000 media representatives covered the Games.There were around 25,000 volunteers. Governor general of Canada Michaelle Jean opened The Games and ice hockey player Wayne Gretzky lit the Olympic flame. Ice hockey player Hayley Wickenheiser took the Olympic Oath on behalf of the athletes and speedskating referee Michel Verreault on behalf of all officials.

The Vancouver Olympic Winter Games began on a somber note after the death of 21-year old Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili. The Croatian Olympic delegation also participated in them with 19 competitors, of whom 7 women. They competed in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon and four-man bobsleigh.

XXI OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES VANCOUVER 2010 Vancouver, Canada, 12 – 28 February 2010
According to the Croatian classification, seven sports and their events are included in the program of the XXI Olympic Winter Games, which will be held in Vancouver, Canada, in 2010. The program includes biathlon, bobsleigh (bobsleigh and skeleton), curling, ice hockey, ice skating (figure skating, speed skating and short track), luge and skiing (alpine, nordic, cross-country and freestyle skiing, ski jumping and snowboard). -
COC Presented Croatian Olympic Delegation for Vancouver
ZAGREB, 1 February 2010 – Croatia's Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, Minister of Science, Education and Sport Radovan Fuchs, IOC Member Antun Vrdoljak, T-HT CEO Ivica Mudrinic, President of the Croatian Olympic Committee and its Secretary General Josip Cop attended the press conference of the Croatian Olympic Committee held on 1 February 2010. Almost the whole Croatian Olympic Delegation to Vancouver was presented at the Education Centre of T-HT (Croatian Telecom), general sponsor of the Croatian Olympic Committee.
