Tarragona, June 26, 2018 - After the Amar Musić's gold medal in Weightlifting, at the end of the fifth day of competing at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona, the gymnast Robert Seligman won silver.

In the All-round finals, Seligman was considered our favorite for winning a medal in Pommel Horse, but in past few days he was having serious health problems (intestinal virosis). However, after a medical treatment, the Osijek representative decided to participate – and it paid off. With a total score of 14,966 he was again the second at the Mediterranean Games (as in Mersin in 2013). Gold went to France - Cyril Tommasone (15,033). The third was Cyprian Marios Georgiou (14,500) and our Matija Baron took the fourth place (14,166).

Boxer Petar Cetinić was defeated in the first round at the Games. In the Round of 16 of Finals in the category up to 69 kg, the BiH representative Adem Fetahović was better than him (in terms of points in all three rounds). On Wednesday, our heavyweight boxer Toni Filipi (category up to 91 kg) will fight against Marko Dočić from Serbia.
On the second day of competing in Golf, our young player, Marko Stepinac, significantly improved the current placement from the 28th to the 22nd place. There are two more days of competing ahead of him.
Today's gold won by Amar Musić and silver won by and Roberto Seligman, the collection of Croatian medals at the Mediterranean Games in Tarragona increased to five - one gold, two silver and two bronze medals. (COC/vk)
