The Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games will take place in Singapore (the Republic of Singapore) from 14 to 26 August 2010. The International Olympic Committee decided to found the Games at the 119th Session in Guatemala on 5 July 2007 and Singapore won the bid to host them on 21 February 2008. Athletes aged between 14 and 18 are eligible to participate. They will compete in 26 sports. According to the program of the First YOG, for which the entry deadline was on 15 July, around 3600 athletes from 205 NOCs will participate. They will be accompanied by around 800 officials.
