Zagreb, February 4th, 2020 - Duringthe ceremony held at the Predsjednički dvori (Presidential Palace) at Zagreb's Pantovčak, President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović presented forty recognitions and awards to deserving individuals and institutions from various fields of social and humanistic activities as an expression of gratitude for their exceptional achievements and skills that contributed to the development and reputation of the homeland, including, of course, the "Best Croatian Ambassadors in the World" - its athletes and sports staff.


World Gymnastics Champion for 2017 and World Gymnastics Vice Championfor 2019 Tin Srbić, Karate World Champion for 2018 Ivan Kvesić and trophy-winning football coach with a notable foreign career Branko Ivanković received the State award Red Danice Hrvatske (The Order of the Croatian Morning Star) with the image of Franjo Bučar. The same award was posthumously awarded to the founder of the project Humanstars 03, the great humanitarian and sports enthusiast Branislav Tušek.

For exceptional sports and humanitarian endeavors and contribution to the promotion of the sport and reputation of the Republic of Croatia in the world, Dina Levačić, the first Croat to swim across La Manche,received the State award Red Danice Hrvatske with the image of Katarina Zrinska. (COC/VK)
