Zagreb, June 13, 2019 - After an exceptionally successful Dubrovnik promotion of VK Jug monograph, titled Pet do 100 (5 to 100), Zagreb presentation of the impressive work of Željko Konsuo and his associates also attracted great attention of the local (sports) public. Besides the female and male water polo players, coaches, officials and friends of sports, the promotion at the Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski was made truly special by attendance of numerous dignitaries from political life, led by the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
The host Željan Konsuo - member of the CNOC Council and National Sports Council, Vice-President of the Croatian Water Polo Federation (HVK) and VK (water polo club) Jug - presented, in a sharp and whimsy way, the monograph, evoking with image records the memories of club legends and all important facts from the trophy club history.
During addressing the audience at the Small Hall of the Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski, Dubrovnik Mayor Mato Franković announced the recent reconstruction of the swimming site in Gruž, but also the opening of the first Water Polo Museum in the world. In this case our most trophy-winning club, VK Jug (64 trophies in the Treasury), and our most attractive tourist destination - the city of Dubrovnik, could become extra unique in the world.
This week’s Session of the CNOC Council featured also Željan Konsuo’s mini-promotion of capital publication. All members of the “Olympic Government” were presented a copy of the monograph about the VK Jug and in return Mr. Konsuo received a deserved congratulations. After all, he received congratulations from everyone after the Zagreb promotion at the Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski. (CNOC/VK)
