Zagreb, June 7, 2019 – At the Croatian Olympic Committee’s headquarters, the President of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) Zlatko Mateša, accompanied by of the Head of the Croatian NOC’s International Cooperation Department Ljiljana Ujlaki Šubić, received the Sri Lanka NOC’s Vice President Asanga Seneviratne. His mission in Croatia is connected with the possibilities of establishing cooperation in the field of sports, especially handball. The CNCO President recalled that we are bound to this by the Sports Cooperation Agreement signed between the two national Olympic Committees in Colombo in 2010 and renewed in November last year.
According to the provisions of this Agreement (exchange of coaches and athletes, exchange of expertise as well as professional knowledge on sports infrastructure...), the Head of the Croatian Olympic Committee urged the Sri Lanka national selections in handball for preparation training in Croatia under the expert guidance of our coaches. The Vice President of the Croatian Handball Federation Zoran Gobac also agreed with this invitation and Sri Lanka NOC’s Vice President Seneviratne left the Croatian NOC very satisfied. (CNOC/VK)
