Zagreb, May 29th 2014 - After the scholarship for participating at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014, where they performed for the first time and showed a great sports potential, the Croatian Olympians, young alpine skiers Filip Zubcic and Andrea Komsic, were awarded the new, so-called "transitional" scholarship (Winter Interim Scholarships for Athletes) of the continental program of support to excellent and top athletes (Continental Athlete Support Programme).

Zagreb, May 29th 2014 - After the scholarship for participating at the Winter Olympics in Sochi in 2014, where they performed for the first time and showed a great sports potential, the Croatian Olympians, young alpine skiers Filip Zubcic and Andrea Komsic, were awarded the new, so-called "transitional" scholarship (Winter Interim Scholarships for Athletes) of the continental program of support to excellent and top athletes (Continental Athlete Support Programme).
In order to get the scholarship approved by the IOC these two excellent skiers, having ful_lled the condition of performance at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, must now be highlighted as prominent candidates for the Olympic Solidarity Scholarship for Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang (South Korea) in 2018. According to the estimate of the Croatian Ski Federation and Croatian Olympic Committee, they will succeed without any doubt.
The Olympic Solidarity Scholarship in the amount of 1,500 USD per month is intended for training and competitions, and they will be receiving the scholarship from June 1st, 2014 until October 31st, 2016 when they will enter a new cycle of scholarships, where the relevant department of the COC for Olympic Solidarity programs led by Vesna Peran will take care of the same.
