ZAGREB, June 6, 2016 (Hina) - The president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Thomas Bach, on Monday cancelled his visit to Croatia due to his trip to the United States where he will attend the funeral of the boxing legend Muhammad Ali.

Bach was scheduled to visit Zagreb on 9 and 10 June as a guest of the Croatian Olympic Committee (HOO) and then travel to Dubrovnik where was to attend an international ice skating congress.

Bach, a former German fencer, was elected as the tenth IOC president in September 2013, succeeding Belgian Jacques Rogge who headed the IOC since 2001.
