As part of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s marketing campaign "In the rhythm of Rio", which lasts until the completion of the Games in Rio in August 2016, the Polyclinic Aviva hosted the Croatian Olympic Handball Team Rio 2016 on June 15, 2016 in Nemetova Street in Zagreb.


Concerning the members of Croatian national teams, there will be 14 athletes participating at the Games, including already proven Olympic medalists Domagoj Duvnjak, Jakov Gojun, Zlatko Horvat, Manuel Štrlek and Marko Kopljar, captain of the Croatian national team, and excellent athletes -members of national teams Ivan Pešić, Ilija Brozović, Luka Cindrić, Ivan Ćopić, Filip Ivić, Igor Karačić, Krešimir Kozina, Marko Mamić, Marino Marić, Domagoj Pavlović, Ivan Slišković, Ivan Stevanović and Luka Šebetić.

The President of the Croatian Olympic Committee, Zlatko Mateša, talked about the cooperation of the Croatian Olympic Committee and the Polyclinic AVIVA, emphasizing the contribution of the company Aviva in prevention and protection of athletes’ health; "The health of an athlete is the most valuable part of both his/her success and of the Croatian sports. Our goal and mission is to provide the highest possible standard in this field. In the past four years, the Polyclinic Aviva confirmed a strong partnership in this task and for that, we are grateful, said President Mateša. On behalf of the host - the Polyclinic Aviva that operates within the Agrokor Group - its director Slaven Janečić held a short speech, pointing out that clinic, which employs 80 staff and offers diagnostics, therapy and rehabilitation services in 16 medical specializations fulfills all the conditions required for achieving top sports results. http://www.poliklinika-aviva.hr

The ceremony that gathered handball players and representatives of the company Aviva was attended, besides numerous guests, by the President of the Croatian Handball Federation Tomislav Grahovac, Head Coach of the Croatian national team Željko Babić and Assistant Secretary General of the Croatian Olympic Committee for Marketing Ranko Ćetković.
