Zagreb, September 23, 2016 – we have launched the 60th, September edition of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s magazine Olimp, dedicated to the performance of Croatian athletes at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro and celebration of Croatian Olympic Committee’s 25th anniversary of its establishment.
In particular, Olimp highlights the most successful performance of our athletes in the history of the Olympic Games, visit of Thomas Bach, President of International Olympic, who has presented the traditional award "Dražen Petrović" to the Croatian most successful young athletes and meeting of the Croatian Olympic Committee’s delegation with the Croatian President Kolinda Grabar Kitarović.
Regular on-going article "History of Croatian sports" is entirely dedicated to 25 years of work of the Croatian Olympic Committee. The article deals with a century-old aspiration of Croatian athletes to mark their performances at the Olympic Games under their own flag, with particular reference to the Founding Assembly, held on September 10, 1991 in Zagreb's hotel Esplanade.
Additional pages list all the medal winners since Barcelona Olympics 1992 until Rio Olympics 2016, as well as all the prominent events, notables and jubilees from a quarter century-old history of the Croatian Olympic Committee. (hoo/rj)
