Zagreb, December 22, 2015 – By decision of its Assembly, brought on December 22, 2015, the Croatian Olympic Committee has two more members – the Croatian Cheerleading Federation (HCS) and Croatian Kendo Association (HKS).

Croatian Cheerleading Federation was founded in 2008 as an Association of cheerleading communities of Croatia. In February 2015, it was registered as national sports federations responsible for promoting and developing this sports and dance activities in Croatia. President of the Federation is Slavica Donkov from Split, where is also the headquarters of the federation (more at  www.cheerleading.hr).

Croatian Kendo Association was founded in 2004 with the aim of promoting the development of kendo, Japanese martial sports, in Croatia. The Association is a member of the European Kendo Federation (EKF) and an associate member of the World Kendo Federation (WKF). The Association has eight teams, and its headquarters are in Zagreb. President of the Association is Marko Lukić from Zagreb (www.kendo.hr).

New national sports federations received the status of temporary members for two years, after which the Assembly of the Croatian Olympic Committee shall decide on their regular membership. By receiving these two new federations, the Croatian Olympic Committee counts at this moment 85 national sports federations, out of which 39 for Olympic sports.
