Zagreb, December 21, 2015 – In December 2015, the International Council of Arbitration for Sport (ICAS) appointed Petra Pocrnić Perica M.Sc. the arbitrator at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), which represents the first appointment of a Croatian lawyer to the closed international list of arbitrators.

The International Council of Arbitration for Sport is an international independent body funded and managed by the CAS and its main task is to take care of independence of the CAS and the rights of the parties. CAS was founded in 1984 as a specialized body for resolving disputes in sport, with one or three decision-making arbitrators selected by the parties from the closed list of arbitrators consisting of experts specializing in arbitration and sports law. The seat of the Court of Arbitration for Sport is in Lausanne, Switzerland.
