The Olympic Games Rio 2016 will be held in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) from August 5th to 21st, 2016. There will be around 10500 athletes from 205 countries performing at the Games during 16 days, competing in 33 sports: athletics, badminton, cycling, boxing, open water swimming, weightlifting, gymnastics, golf, hockey, wrestling, sailing, judo, kayaking/canoeing, equestrian sports, basketball, fencing, modern pentathlon, football, volleyball, beach volleyball, swimming, rugby, handball, synchronized swimming, diving, table tennis, archery, shooting, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, water polo and rowing.


The Croatian Athletes for participation at the Olympic Games 2016 are classified into several categories, according to the criteria that are an integral part of the Project RIO 2016, adopted in December 2013.
