Winner of the Croatian Olympic Committee's "Fair Play" award for 2007 is the mountain climber Stipe Božić. His deep sense of solidarity – this is what makes Stipe Božić a humanitarian and selfless giver.

He has put his years-long sports experience, top mountain climbing skills as well as his knowledge at the service of saving people’s lives. The experience of this great sports name often carried an extremely painful side such as the tragedy in Kornati and loss of twelve young Croatian lives. Sports achievements of Stipe Božić as mountain climber put him at the top of the list of most successful climbers in the world. He has conquered the highest mountain peaks of all the seven continents, the North Pole and other natural phenomena like Lukina jama (Luka’s pit), the deepest cavern in Croatia, which is 1395 m deep.
